Antique memorabilia, photos and documents from private collectors and historic archives showcase the Pennsylvania Railroad, its predecessor the Philadelphia & Columbia and its successors—the railroads that gave suburban Philadelphia’s “Main Line” region its name.
Fascinating items from the personal collections of Frank Tatnall, Frank Weer, and Ted Xaras as well the Radnor Historical Society, the Lower Merion Historical Society and the Ball Watch Company. Historic cast iron station signs, hardware, photos and prints of original station houses along the Main Line, late 19th century dinnerware from the Pennsylvania Railroad, old train schedules and tickets, a station phone box, lanterns, a conductor’s money box…..and much more!

11:00 am: Riding the Rails – an adventuresome presentation by collector/ artist/historian Ted Xaras on the Pennsylvania Railroad, 1870-1940
Ted Xaras is renowned as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable railroad historian and artist. A retired Professor of Fine Art at Ursinus College, he continues to paint and currently teaches at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
3:00 pm: Roundtable Storytelling -- by well-known railroaders and historians. Moderator: Frank G. Tatnall
