This blog post was guest written by Valley Forge Flowers, a new dealer to the The Main Line Antiques Show this year.  Come visit their booth October 7 & 8, 2017.

Valley Forge Flowers has been in the flower business on the Main Line for over 50 years, branching out from arrangements and events into home and gift items during the past 25 years. We listen to our customers and clients, attend numerous gift markets, and have come to realize we need to seek out items that are unique and one of a kind.  Thus, the beginning of the Cottage at Valley Forge Flowers where we showcase our antiques.

Our experienced buyers (several whom are French and some have actually been antique dealers), had the pleasure over the past two years to attend the various markets in Belgium and Provence. However, the real “picking” comes from traveling along the countryside, slamming on the brakes and knocking on doors when we see something of interest in the gardens.  (Of course, having two lovely French girls on the buying trip certainly helps!) What we’ve tried to create in The Cottage at Valley Forge Flowers is a blend of European antique items that are affordable but at the same time unique.

What we look for is that special item that can add to an already existing style the client may have.  Garden items are of particular interest, after all, we specialize in plants and flowers.  For the Main Line Antique Show we have gathered a collection of featured items for the outdoor garden but can also be a wonderful indoor feature.

If you’re not familiar with us please stop by.  We’re located in Eagle Village Shops in Strafford/Wayne,  three stores filled with everything that will delight your senses and two darling cafes to relax and have lunch.  Valley Forge Flowers
